Anke krijgt er een tweelingbroer bij. Op 23 augustus landt Samuel (Sam) op Schiphol. Hij gaat via AFS een jaar deel uitmaken van ons gezin. Nadat het met onze Chileense uitwisselingsstudente vorig jaar niet helemaal liep zoals gedacht, hebben we een tijd getwijfeld of we er wel opnieuw aan moesten beginnen. Na een hele leuke wisselweek met Egemen uit Turkije zijn we toch weer wat serieuzer naar de profielen gaan kijken van de studenten die eind augustus naar Nederland komen.

We hebben op basis van ervaring extra goed gekeken wie er goed in ons gezin zou passen waarna AFS Nederland de match kon maken met Sam uit Arizona. Hij houdt van activiteit, waaronder veel fietsen, en vindt het ook leuk om dingen binnen het gezin te doen. En hij is dus op dezelfde dag geboren als Anke.

We hebben inmiddels wat contact gehad via Whatsapp en Skype en het lijkt allemaal erg leuk. We hebben er nu al zin in om Sam op 23 augustus van Schiphol te halen en er met elkaar een heel leuk jaar van te maken!
